Hey there! This week we are going to highlight some fantastic Black-owned businesses that we carry in-store. Supporting Black-owned businesses builds up communities, creates jobs and opportunities, closes the racial wealth gap, and empowers local communities. When you choose to support black-owned businesses, you’re supporting black pride, unity, and self-determination.
One of our all-time favorite wellness brands is Golde. They believe that self-care means like feeling like your best self and being well should feel good. That means products that fit seamlessly into your lifestyle, not the other way around. You can count on them for formulas that are always 100% natural and vegan-friendly, with superfood ingredients you can recognize and trust. We carry the Clean Greens Face Mask, Papaya Bright Face Mask, Matcha Turmeric Latte Blend, and Cacao Turmeric Latte Blend! Yum :)
The perfect item to practice mindfulness and self-love with is the Love Yourself: 30 Affirmation Card Deck by Tori Player. These cards have principles and practices that open your heart and mind to the highest power of all, unconditional love. You can use these cards in many ways but here are a few suggestions: morning meditation, journal prompts, keep a few visible throughout the day to inspire you, or use as a daily prompt to guide you and take action in showering yourself with love.
Need a quick snack break after a long day of shopping locally? Oh-Mazing! Granola has your back. Owner, Stephanie Williams, developed her own granola recipe to provide an alternative to some of the unhealthy snacks found on grocery store shelves. At Oh-Mazing!, they believe that every person has a purpose. They want to help you explore new ways of living every moment of your beautiful lives and not go hungry. You can stop by the shop any time and grab a bag to try for yourself!
Other Black-owned brands that we carry are Chloe + Chad and face masks by Diop (only available in-store). We want to continue supporting Black-owned businesses and Black lives at Shop SLOYC so, if there's a Black-owned brand you'd like to see us carry then leave us a comment on this post!
